Choosing a wedding venue is about more than finding a place for the ceremony and reception. Couples also think about the setting, how comfortable the space feels, and how much help they will have during planning.
New Leaf Farm is a family-run barn wedding venue near Scranton, Pennsylvania, set on 33 acres in Waymart with mountain views and open pastures. Co-owner Amanda Briggs brings more than ten years of wedding planning experience, and every wedding includes a planning portal, a Wedding Manager starting three months out, and eight hours of on-site coordination. Weddings are hosted May through October.
At New Leaf Farm Weddings & Events, we offer all of that at our family run property in Waymart. For couples looking for a wedding venue near Scranton, PA, the farm includes mountain views, open countryside, a spacious barn, and wedding management with every celebration.
A Barn Wedding With Planning Support
Our farm gives couples a relaxed country setting along with practical help during the planning process. You can hold your ceremony and reception on the property while working with a team that understands how much goes into keeping a wedding day on track.
Led by an Experienced Wedding Planner
Amanda Briggs has more than a decade of experience in wedding planning, event design, logistics, and hospitality. She is our co-owner and Creative Director and runs the farm with her husband, Jeff, and co owners Marie and Dave Kovaleski.
You can learn more about the family behind the farm and how their connection to the property began. Amanda’s background in weddings, along with the family’s personal approach, helps couples feel supported from their first visit through the wedding day.

Mountain Views and 33 Scenic Acres
The property sits on 33 scenic acres with open pastures, countryside views, and a mountain in the background. Couples can exchange vows in the ceremony area while our team takes care of setting up the trellis and guest chairs.
The 5,400 square foot barn gives you an indoor space that can be arranged around your plans. Jessica and Matt shared that they had about 150 guests at their wedding and still had plenty of room. Couples coming from the area can also read more about planning a wedding near Scranton and what the location offers for a celebration in the countryside.
Wedding Management Included
Wedding management is included with every wedding package. About two weeks after booking, couples receive access to our planning portal, custom checklist, and tools for keeping track of timelines, vendor information, and important details. Three months before the wedding, your dedicated Wedding Manager begins working with you more closely to finalize the timeline, communicate with vendors, and organize logistics.
Our wedding coordination and planning services explain more about the support included before and during the wedding. On the day itself, our team provides eight hours of on site coordination.
Personal Family Service
Our connection to the farm is personal too. Amanda first toured the property for a client in 2020. After she and Jeff got engaged in 2021, they chose the farm for their own wedding and later became part of its ownership.
Today, Jeff helps care for the grounds, barn, facilities, and farm animals. Marie works closely with couples, while Dave takes care of maintenance and improvements around the property. Each family member has a role in keeping the venue ready for the couples and guests who spend their wedding day here.
Décor and Planning Options
Couples also have access to useful décor options for the reception. White or ivory linens are available for tables, along with colored napkin choices. The Legacy Loft includes lanterns, signs, candles, vases, and other pieces left by previous couples, and these items can be used at no additional charge.
First responders, military members, and veterans may also receive available discounts. Couples who want more planning help can choose Partial Planning, Signature Planning, or Full Service Planning through Lovely Weddings and Events and Briggs & Co.
Flexible Vendor Choices
Couples can choose their own vendor team as long as venue requirements are followed. We also share a list of photographers, caterers, entertainment providers, florists, transportation companies, and other professionals we have worked with. Bartending services must come from the approved bartending partner list.
Caterers outside the preferred list may be considered with prior approval. Vendors working at the farm must also carry general liability insurance. These requirements help everyone know what to expect before the wedding day.
Conclusion
With mountain views, open space, a 5,400 square foot barn, ceremony setup, planning tools, and wedding management, the farm gives couples several important parts of the wedding experience in one place. For couples comparing a wedding venue near Scranton, PA, a tour is a simple way to see the ceremony area, barn, and property in person and decide if the setting works for their plans.
